WE LOOK FORWARD TO A GREAT YEAR!

Good afternoon Leverett Families!
We are looking forward to field day tomorrow (Wednesday, 6/2/21) with all of our students! Please send your student to school in clothing that is appropriate to get messy. With the rains today, there will be muddy places on the playground. We ask that you please send a change of clothing and extra shoes for your student as well.
Unfortunately, with these schedule changes, we will not be able to have our 4th Grade Track and Field day tomorrow. We are looking forward to a very fun-filled last day of school tomorrow!

Parents,
Due to the significant chance of rain of tomorrow, we will be hosting the Leverett Field Day on Wednesday. Should rain move into the forecast for Wednesday, we will have an alternate indoor field day as the back up plan.

Leverett Lion family,
May 3rd-7th is teacher appreciation week!
I am inviting parents to join a morning zoom to share a special “live” message of appreciation with your child’s teacher! Our school community uses zoom every day for announcements from 8:00-8:05. Our teachers have worked so hard this year and with so much change. I know they would appreciate hearing from you, our parents!
If you would like to participate, please email Marta Kiser at martakiser@gmail.com and she will organize which day you can join the school morning zoom meeting!
Lets show our teachers how much we much we love and appreciate them!
Mrs. Sputo

We will have popcorn day on Thursday, 4/29/2021. Please send $0.50 with your student for a drink and popcorn, provided by Leverett PTO. Thank you!

Please make sure to plan ahead your route to school and then back home. And as always...Please wear a helmet!

Dear Leverett Parents & Guardians,
The state of Arkansas requires a body mass index (BMI) to be completed for children in kindergarten, second, and fourth grades. Leverett will be completing BMI measurements the next few weeks on face-to-face students only. The BMI is a measurement of body fat based on your child’s height and weight. The measurements of their height and weight are confidential. The reading for weight measurement is NOT called out by the measurer or recorder to ensure confidentiality. All Arkansas Schools can provide parents with an explanation of possible health effects of body mass index, nutrition and physical activity. BMI letters will be sent out this year upon request. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns or want to receive your child’s BMI results. You can email me at kristi.taunton@g.fayar.net or call me at (479) 445-1050.
