Leverett Lion family, May 3rd-7th is teacher appreciation week! I am inviting parents to join a morning zoom to share a special “live” message of appreciation with your child’s teacher! Our school community uses zoom every day for announcements from 8:00-8:05. Our teachers have worked so hard this year and with so much change. I know they would appreciate hearing from you, our parents! If you would like to participate, please email Marta Kiser at martakiser@gmail.com and she will organize which day you can join the school morning zoom meeting! Lets show our teachers how much we much we love and appreciate them! Mrs. Sputo

Dear Leverett Parents & Guardians, The state of Arkansas requires a body mass index (BMI) to be completed for children in kindergarten, second, and fourth grades. Leverett will be completing BMI measurements the next few weeks on face-to-face students only. The BMI is a measurement of body fat based on your child’s height and weight. The measurements of their height and weight are confidential. The reading for weight measurement is NOT called out by the measurer or recorder to ensure confidentiality. All Arkansas Schools can provide parents with an explanation of possible health effects of body mass index, nutrition and physical activity. BMI letters will be sent out this year upon request. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns or want to receive your child’s BMI results. You can email me at kristi.taunton@g.fayar.net or call me at (479) 445-1050. view image
